Intuit has announced the launch of its new QuickBooks Workforce mobile app, designed to help employees of firms across the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Australia reduce administrative and payroll tasks.

The app is accessible on both Android and iOS devices, providing a centralized hub for users to manage their work and pay, including invoicing customers accurately for billable time.

“It’s also important for employees to have easy access to pay stubs, tax documents, and other pay insights to help them plan and make smarter money decisions for themselves and their families. The new QuickBooks Workforce mobile app is now that hub designed to help growing businesses take care of their teams,” Jennifer Bickerstaff, vice president of product management for Intuit QuickBooks, Time Business Segment, said in a Monday (July 17) press release.

In addition to the QuickBooks Workforce app, Intuit has also partnered with Fyle solutions to offer small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) a comprehensive set of real-time expense management and simplified bookkeeping solutions.

Announced in May, the Fyle and Intuit QuickBooks combined solution automates expense reporting, credit card reconciliation, and enables businesses to achieve a faster month-end close. Fyle also integrates with Visa and Mastercard business and corporate credit cards, allowing employees to receive SMS and Slack notifications upon spending, and then submit their receipts in the form of a text and a picture.

In January, Intuit announced the expansion of its QuickBooks Business Network to millions of SMBs in the United States to help accelerate and automate their business-to-business (B2B) payments.

“With the QuickBooks Business Network, we’re innovating to address age-old challenges small businesses face when it comes to B2B payments, 70% of which are still paper- or check-based in the U.S.,” Rania Succar, senior vice president of Intuit QuickBooks Money Platform and CEO of Mailchimp, said at the time.

Eligible merchants in the U.S. can connect within the network and send and receive invoices and payments, as well as leverage accounts payable (AP) automation to more easily review bills, approve them and add them to their books, PYMNTS reported.
