PatientFi Launches Membership Platform for Aesthetics Practices

PatientFi now enables aesthetics practices to offer patients annual treatment plans with monthly payments.

With the firm’s new Privi membership platform, practices can build annual beauty memberships that include neurotoxin, filler, skincare, body treatments and other aesthetic treatment and allow patients to pay monthly, PatientFi said in a Monday (April 24) press release.

“PatientFi has become a leading provider of payment solutions for large ticket aesthetic procedures, so Privi was a natural extension for us,” PatientFi CEO and Co-Founder Todd Watts said in the release.

The new Privi membership platform is designed to reduce the barriers to patient affordability and access by enabling them to pay monthly for a personalized treatment plan, rather than facing fewer, larger bills for visits to the practice, PatientFi said in the release.

Together with the option of recurring payments, the Privi membership platform enables participating providers to get paid in full when each treatment is completed, provides scheduling tools and automatic reminders, and allows practices to customize the membership experience, the release said.

“Privi is solving some of the longest standing pain points for the non-invasive aesthetic market — affordability, scheduling and treatment compliance,” Watts said in the release. “Privi offers practices a new way to increase business and retain it while dramatically increasing accessibility for patients.”

PYMNTS research has found that the digitization of healthcare services promises to provide patients with a wider array of choices in how to access, experience and pay for healthcare.

While two-thirds of patients use patient portals, there’s a gap in the ability to receive cost estimates for appointments, according to “Accessing Healthcare: Easing Digital Frictions in the Patient Journey,” a PYMNTS and Experian Health collaboration.

Sixty-four percent of patients say such estimates are very or extremely important, but just 24% receive those estimates, the report found.

The news of this membership platform comes about six weeks after the announcement that Stripe is now enabling integrated payments within BoomerangFX’s clinic management platform.

This partnership adds Stripe’s payment platform to BoomerangFX’s platform for aesthetic medical practices that include noninsured, private pay segments like dermatology, cosmetic surgery, medical spa, cosmetic dentistry and women’s health.
