Coupon App Provider Ranking Saves Time by Being Shorter This Cycle

What does a person have to do to get a deal around here? We have that answer contained in the PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Coupons Apps, which is kind of a big deal unto itself.

There’s been flipping and flopping since we last checked in on this group of apps so popular amid an inflationary economy, so hold onto your coupon booklets. Apps. You know.

The Top 5

What did Ibotta do to move up three positions to land at Number 1 this cycle? Cash-back rewards and more, which is something everybody wants.

Sticking at No. 2 it’s Groupon, finding its groove thanks partly to inflation.

At Number 3 it’s PayPal’s Honey Smart Shopping Assistant dropping three chart positions since last cycle despite its strong popularity. That’s how it goes in the App Rankings.

Down one spot is the Flipp deals app, but staying in the Top 5 is a win by any measure.

Dropping faster than gas prices themselves, the GasBuddy app tumbles three chart positions to land at Number 5. With gas up one week down the next, keep an eye on this one.

The Top 10

Pushed out of the Top 5 like an expired prescription, the GoodRx app comes in at Number 6 in this edition of the Coupon Rankings, but it’s a regular here no matter shifting positions.

Receipt Hog drops one position to No. 7, but it’s still a good deal (pun intended).

Down two spots is Rakuten, coming in at Number 8 this month.

Likewise, Shopkick drops two chart positions to make deals at No. 9 this cycle.

Grabbing that Number 10 spot — thus staying up there with the big players — it’s ShopSavvy, down one chart position but staying in the Top 10. Like we said, that’s a win.
