Provider Ranking of Digital Banking Apps Welcomes Back Some Hot Apps

digital banking

The rich and varied world of digital banking is perhaps best captured by PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Digital Banking Apps, where we find the top names jockeying for positions.

As is often the case, certain names have risen to the top and are staying pretty well put for now, but newcomers and former champs reentering this latest ranking show just how quickly the action can change in this dynamic sector.

The Top 5

On the topic of hot names dominating the top of the ranking, Chime and Nubank remain locked in a dead heat at No. 1, each with a perfect score of 100.

Also still sticking at No. 2 is the Revolut app.

U.K.-based Monzo is also holding on at No. 3 for another month.

Things get a little more interesting at the No. 4 chart position as the Starling Bank app keeps that ranking, but now shares it with the KOHO app, up two chart positions and into the Top 5.

Dave hangs in at No. 5, completing the Top 5.

The Top 10

The Empower app notches up one chart position to take No. 6 this cycle.

At No. 7 we’ve got the Commercial Bank of Dubai and its app, also up one spot.

There’s a tie at No. 8, and it finds digital banking app Up facing off with the Liv. UAE app which did not chart last month.

The Berlin-based N26 app returns to the ranking this month at No. 9. Good to see them back.

Going out on a tie, it’s two more returning apps that didn’t chart last month, those being UAE-based Mashreq Neo and Leumi Group’s Pepper. both at No. 10 and closing out the Top 10.
