Buffalo Wild Wings Serving Up iPad Ordering

Buffalo Wild Wings is testing the idea of using iPads to collect food and drink orders from its customers, according to a report by Computerworld.

After an initial test in suburban Toronto proved successful, the beer-and-wings restaurant chain has made plans to progress the pilot into a second phase of testing. iPads will soon be implemented in franchise locations in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The iPad concept is a growing trend in the restaurant industry’s business model. However, Buffalo Wild Wings isn’t the first company to combine food sales and tablets.

E la Carte, which uses a custom 7-inch tablet and its own ‘Presto’ operating system, raised $4 million in August to support the development of its business.
