Forrester: Search Rules Retail Ad Spending

Forrester Research and Shop.org released a new report on July 17 that aimed to assess the state of the online retail industry and determine how retailers are spending their marketing budgets, VentureBeat reports.

    The researchers revealed that the majority of retail advertising budgets go toward search, and predicted that eCommerce sales would top $258 billion by the year’s end. Social campaign spending through major players such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube was also found to be on the rise.
