According to eCommerce Facts, 84.5 percent of Germany’s mail-order business is from eCommerce sales. There have been major shifts in consumer shopping behavior in Germany, and research confirms that online consumption is growing quickly. ECommerce sales have grown 50 percent compared to just one year ago.
“We observe in particular that the consumers are shifting more and more areas of their consumption online and thus the individual online spending is rising”, said Dr. Friedemann Weber, Director of GIM Berlin.
