payvia, Mobile-KL Offer Mobile Prepaid Carrier Airtime Purchases In Africa And India

Payvia, the online and mobile payments company, revealed a recent partnership with tech company, Mobile-XL, to launch a new technology that customers can use to buy digital goods and services with mobile prepaid carrier airtime, reported BankCreditNews.

African and Indian customers with access to Internet services such as social media, news and games can use the payment platform during the mobile checkout point without having to submit their bank account or credit card information.

“With over 800 million mobile subscribers in Africa alone, fewer than one-third of whom have access to traditional banking or credit card solutions, we believe that payvia’s technology will soon be the preferred way for both consumers and merchants to buy and sell digital goods throughout Africa,” payvia CEO, Darcy Wedd told BankCreditNews.
