An app developer calling itself “Premium App” recently spammed the Google Play store with a number of knock-offs based on popular apps for Apple’s iOS operating system.
Various paid apps mimicking ones released by MySpace, Snapguide, Fiverr and others were uploaded at the end of December, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 2.
Many of them are intentionally misspelled or mislabeled, with prices occasionally above $1.
