Braintree Launches Its PayPal “Easy” Button

Kwik smart button

PayPal-owned Braintree is hoping to be the cash register on every app. With the release of its newly updated suite of development tools, Braintree has now made it possible for corporate developers to add their company’s credit-card-payments system and a PayPal button to their app in 15  minutes or less.

The newly released Braintree v.zero SDK provides business of all sizes the ability to pay with PayPal across platforms, without having to do a separate software integration.

Customers who use the PayPal option have the choice between making a one time only transaction, or storing PayPal payment data within the app for faster future checkouts.  The newly developed system also allows all purchases to take place from a merchant site, particularly important for mobile phone customers for whom switching between windows is often more irritating than easy.

“When Braintree became part of the PayPal family last year, we knew that by combining our tools, reach and resources, we could more quickly achieve our shared goal of enabling the most seamless commerce experiences — connecting people and businesses around the world,” wrote Braintree CEO Bill Ready in a post to PayPal’s blog yesterday. “Since joining our teams together, we’ve been working toward this mission and today, we’re happy to announce the Braintree v.zero SDK — our first product integration together that showcases our commitment to simplifying payments.”

The new update is reportedly about ten lines of code that developers can either drop straight into their own app, or can modify before inserting.
