Clean Technology Firm Upgrades Procurement Automation Process

Earlier this week, clean technology firm Sensus chose to integrate the spend analysis and eSourcing tools from Zycus into its workflow. The new spend analysis implementation will include Sensus’ iCost feature, which permits spend analytics in approximately 1,200 market price and cost models and the company’s iMine feature, which automates identification of possible strategic sourcing and other procurement performance improvement opportunities.

Zycus was chosen because of its domain expertise with spend classification, easy-to-use solutions and the ability to accommodate spending data across multiple languages, explained Ron Malin, director of sourcing for Sensus said in a statement.

“Barely a decade ago, it would have been difficult to conceive of creating globally aggregated views of spending that are also accurate and detailed enough to be mined innovatively and used to inform both long-term supply strategy and daily business decision making,” Zycus CEO and Founder Aatish Dedhia said in a statement.

Dedhia added that Zycus has worked very hard to “systematically tear down all the obstacles associated with global corporate complexity.”

Earlier this month, Oracle launched a new tool designed to help businesses that have high procurement spend or that rely significantly on subcontracts to deliver results to their customers.
