EBay Launches Option For Designer Shoppers

EBay announced earlier this week that it launched an expansion from its ecommerce site that is targeted toward shoppers seeking designer designs. The new site is called the Designer Collective and will feature men’s and women’s clothing designs from a total of 16 fashion labels, including Calvin Klein.

EBay Marketplaces President Devin Wenig explained to the Los Angeles Times that the new designer offerings will let the company to partner instead of compete with designer labels.

“We’re transaction-based,” he said. “We only succeed if our partners succeed.”

Additionally, eBay now promises delivery within a few hours and is rolling out to 25 cities, reported the news source.

This is not the only recent new feature that eBay is offering to customers. Just a few days ago, the ecommerce site announced that it will soon begin accepting bitcoin as a form of payment.

In an interview with CNBC, CEO John Donohue did not mention a start date, but he did say that bitcoin would slowly be integrated into eBay and PayPal services.
