New York-based B2B mobile platform provider Handshake has raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by Emergence Capital Partners.
Handshake’s goal is to become the Salesforce for wholesale buyers and sellers. To date the company has processed more than $10 billion worth of transactions since its founding in 2010.
Emergence executive Kevin Spain says Handshake was chosen over competitors for investment due to their technical prowess and horizontal approach to the market. Instead of focusing on a particular market sector, Handshake is used broadly by salespeople across industries.
