LG Shows Off Its B2B Talents

Like many businesses in both the B2B and B2C worlds, LG Electronics is perhaps best known for its consumer-facing gadgets and high-tech tools — especially televisions. But in an effort to bring new exposure to its enterprise services, LG is reportedly getting showy.

Reports on Monday (June 15) said that LG has just launched its first B2B showroom in Dubai, UAE, known as the LG Business Innovation Center. The showroom offers businesses and government entities the opportunity to explore LG’s business solutions in an array of industries including transportation, hospitality and retail. Reports said one of the biggest features of the showcase is the ability for visitors to get hands-on demonstrations of the enterprise-focused solutions offered by the technology company.

“We aim to create a seamless, personalized experience in the showroom,” said LG Electronics President of the Middle East and Africa Region Kevin Cha. “An experience that will leave a strong impact on our partners and highlight our pioneering products and solutions that provide businesses with innovative and effective solutions, which will in turn improve communication with their audience.”

According to reports, LG’s latest innovations aim to bridge the gap between traditional and digital media and marketing for businesses. The showcase will also be hosting monthly workshops that offer training programs by LG on its products, starting next month.

Technology conglomerates in the region, like South Korea-based LG, have reportedly been paying greater attention to the B2B market in recent months. Reports last October revealed a trend among companies like LG, Samsung and Doosan that are shifting away from a sometimes unstable B2C market.

“The business-to-consumer segment is very volatile and highly competitive, so Samsung is now focusing on the B2B segment as it believes being a solutions provider means stability,” an unnamed Samsung official told reporters at the time.

Since, LG has joined its competitor Samsung in boosting B2B offerings. Earlier this year Samsung launched its Samsung Business unit to strengthen its position in the B2B Internet of Things and Big Data services segment.
