Halfpricesoft.com developers say the ezPaycheck payroll application and the just released ezW2 2021 software can be used together, allowing for a more user-friendly support for tax payments, according to a Monday (Nov. 15) press release.

The ezW2 2021 will have the white paper printing function that can print all W2 forms and W3 on white paper. The release says the black and white substitute forms are approved by the SSA, which means there isn’t a need for pre-printed forms.

And the release says ezW2 will be able to generate W2 and 1099 copies as digital PDFs for easy email access, and it will help customers save time through importing the forms from a csv file, which means the customers don’t have to enter data one by one.

As the program can support unlimited companies, recipients and forms at no extra charge, it can be used by a variety of people including accountants, tax preparers, individual businesses and multi-business entrepreneurs.

The release makes note that ezW2 is compatible with Windows 10 systems and can run on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

Users will be able to buy the 2021 payroll application for a discounted price for now.

In other tax preparation news, Intuit is leaving the IRS Free File program, which it has been a part of for 20 years, charging that the program is too limiting and presents too many conflicts for those not in the program.

Intuit noted in a press release that over 90% of U.S. taxpayers file taxes electronically, and free tax preparation can be used in many ways.

By withdrawing from Free File, Intuit wants to focus more on making new ways to innovate that it wouldn’t be able to otherwise. The freedom from Free File’s limitations will allow the company to “provide more financial benefits and empower Americans of all income levels to take control of their finances at a time they need it most.”

Intuit will be working on stronger data collection and delivery, access to tax and finance expertise and more AI use.
