India’s Expo Bazaar Launches B2B Market in US

Expo Bazaar, a subsidiary of India Expo Mart, is set to launch in U.S. following a debut Wednesday (March 30) at the IHGF Delhi Fair, India Education Diary reported.

According to a company press release, the B2B marketplace offers curated merchandise to independent retailers, “for the first time ever giving these specialty stores and designers access to the wealth of handicrafts, gift and home décor products available from India.”

Developed by veterans of the gift and home industries in the U.S. and India, the marketplace will provide access to tens of thousands of products from hundreds of resources on its website www.expobazaar.com, the release stated.

“Up until now, specialty operations have had no way to import these products on the smaller scale and economical basis they needed for their stores and businesses,” the company said in the release.

Expo Bazaar said in the release it has made a significant investment in product development for its U.S. launch to give the eMarketplace single-point access of “unprecedented scale” to Indian sellers and American business buyers.

“We are opening the doors to the magnificent diversity of India and are creating a curated collection of distinctly Indian merchandise,” said Arun Agarwal, co-founder of Expo Bazaar and CEO of Expo Bazaar USA, in the release. “We are also opening another door to welcome businesses from across America to give them access to the diversity of Indian products and heritage.”

Agarwal added that the company is dedicated to creating a “social, cultural and financial impact on the lives of artisans and small manufacturers and suppliers from India,” while also making sure independent retailers in the U.S. do not lose out on sales because they’re out of stock.

The launch of Expo Bazaar came on the same day that Indian eCommerce marketplace builder YoKart unveiled YoKart B2B, a new B2B marketplace software tool.
