Digital financial platform RoadSync and heavy-duty repair solution Fullbay have partnered to make it easier for repair shops in the trucking industry to accept and manage fuel cards and fleet checks.

The partnership adds a fully embedded fleet payments experience to Fullbay’s heavy-duty repair shop management platform, the companies said in a Wednesday (Nov. 2) press release.

“Fullbay is constantly innovating to provide the best solution for commercial maintenance operations and this partnership allows us to ensure fleet payment collection and processing is frictionless,” Fullbay CEO Patrick McKittrick said in the release.

With the partnership, the companies’ products can be integrated, with RoadSync’s fleet payment application programming interfaces (APIs) available to repair shops that use Fullbay Payments, according to the press release.

By deploying these APIs, the repair shops can accept fuel checks and fleet cards and streamline their back-office operations, the release stated.

“Partnering with Fullbay was a natural next step for us, as our visions for the industry align closely,” RoadSync CEO Robin Gregg said in the release. “Together, we’re propelling forward solutions that are more effective, efficient and safe for critical businesses.”

For truckers, paying for heavy truck repairs and other services has often been a waiting game of phone calls, lost receipts and other hassles, Gregg told PYMNTS in an interview posted in August.

“All of those things traditionally have been very paper-based and kind of difficult for them to complete the transaction because these vendors that support the ecosystem don’t really have a point of sale that allows them to easily invoice and take payments from truckers,” Gregg said at the time.

By handling transactions more efficiently, companies in the highly competitive truck industry can become more desirable as a destination for drivers.
