Bloomreach Adds Group Merchandising to B2B eCommerce Search Solution

B2B eCommerce

Bloomreach has enhanced its eCommerce search solution with group merchandising and other new features that specifically cater to B2B merchandisers.

These updates to Bloomreach Discovery aim to give merchandisers greater control in optimizing the eCommerce experience for their customers, the company said in a Wednesday (Sept. 27) press release.

Discoverability is crucial for B2B businesses, according to the release. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by these companies, Bloomreach has focused on developing enhancements to help merchandisers deliver precisely what buyers are searching for quickly and easily.

One of the notable additions is group merchandising, which enhances product discoverability and drives conversions, the release said. Merchandisers can now merchandise groups of products based on any attribute, such as “manufacturer series,” “finish” or “specification met.”

Another enhancement is SKU searchability, per the release. Merchandisers can now make product variants, such as finishes, sizes and dimensions, searchable. This means that a buyer’s specific search will yield results with only those attributes, improving navigation through large catalogs and creating a more seamless buying experience.

Facet enhancements have also been introduced, giving merchandisers the ability to rank, reorder and customize the display of number-facets, the release said. This feature allows merchandisers to better match the specific needs of B2B shoppers. Merchandisers can make these adjustments directly in their dashboard at global, search and category levels.

Bloomreach Discovery already offers a blend of artificial intelligence (AI) and user control, empowering merchandisers with a wide range of merchandising features, according to the press release. The newly launched features further expand the capabilities of the platform, providing merchandisers with more tools to increase discoverability for buyers and drive growth and efficiency for B2B companies.

Bloomreach uses data-powered personalization to improve customer journeys across channels and help them buy online, Raj De Datta, CEO and co-founder of Bloomreach, said in February 2022 when announcing the close of a funding round.

“We view this funding as a validation of our unique commerce experience strategy, as well as a reflection of the eCommerce market’s urgent need for technology that allows businesses to stand out from the crowd, rather than simply stand up a store,” De Datta said at the time.
