SkyPad Partners With Saks Off 5th on Performance Analytics

Saks Off 5th

Product performance analytics company SkyPad on Wednesday (Feb. 9) announced it has partnered with Saks Off 5th to “significantly transform the way sales and inventory data is shared between Saks Off 5th and its vendor partners,” according to the joint announcement.

“As Saks OFF 5TH continues to experience significant growth, we are focused on increasing our digital capabilities to ensure we deliver a best-in-class customer experience,” Molly Taylor, Chief Merchant, Saks Off 5th, said in the announcement.

“We believe Skypad’s innovative technology will provide a new level of insights between our dedicated merchant team and vendor partners further enhancing our ability to deliver a compelling assortment to our fashion-seeking customers,” she said.

SkyPad will use automation and a self-service reporting interface to improve Saks Off 5th’s vendor data distribution, the announcement says, eliminating the need to email manual reports or rely on limited metrics. The company provides vendors product and location level insights with year-over-year comparison capabilities across a shared-view digital platform.

“This will be a huge step in bridging the data gap between retailer and supplier,” SkyPad CEO Jay Hakami said in the announcement. “All of Saks OFF 5th’s merchants and brand partners will now have the unique advantage of securely accessing holistic views of sell-through data from a single centralized source.

“Inevitably, this transparency will improve overall business performance, while strengthening the consumer experience,” he said.

Last month, Saks debuted Saks Stylist, a free personal stylist and shopping tool available on its website and mobile app. The new service was created in partnership with Wishi, a software firm that combines proprietary technology and real-life styling skills.

Customers take a short quiz on saks.com to give details about their style and shopping needs and Saks uses their responses to match customers with a stylist who will offer curated recommendations within 24 hours. Customers can give feedback to their stylists, who can adjust their recommendations and the customer is able to re-engage their stylist at any time.
