Brex Adds Feature for Managing Corporate Events

Brex has added a group events feature to its global spend platform.

This expansion of Brex travel enables businesses to create and manage large scale corporate events for their employees, the company said in a Monday (Aug. 14) press release.

“Corporate travel has made a strong comeback, but companies are now more globally distributed than ever before and require a travel and events solution that meets the needs of their modern workforces,” Brex Co-Founder and Co-CEO Henrique Dubugras said in the release.

With this addition to its travel and entertainment (T&E) expense solution, its native travel experience allows companies to book and manage events, travel, offsites and more for globally distributed teams of any size with an unlimited number of attendees, according to the press release.

Brex’s group events feature provides event coordinators with the ability to manage all types of travel needs, from organizing events, to inviting and budgeting for attendees, to setting up travel policies, the release said. This makes it easier to plan group events of any size, such as company offsites, global team-building events, conferences and customer events.

The Brex travel platform also provides event management functionality with options to RSVP, access agendas, and manage food allergies and preferences from the same place, as well as allowing attendees to book and manage their travel needs, from flights, to hotels, to car rentals, with either a Brex card or personal cards, per the release.

“With the launch of group events, Brex is the premier offering in the market supporting large enterprise teams with unlimited users in a native experience, so companies no longer have to use antiquated, disparate systems, and instead offer a T&E solution employees actually love,” Dubugras said in the release.

PYMNTS research has found that the rate of employees engaging in remote work has continued to rise.

More than three years after the pandemic began (and months since it was declared in the United States to be an emergency no longer), participation in work is still experiencing 9% year-over-year growth via gig platforms or logging into work platforms while not located within a traditional office setting, according to the “ConnectedEconomy Monthly Report.”

The launch of the group events feature comes two weeks after Brex added an artificial intelligence-powered solution to its global spend platform. The Payables solution combines enhanced bill pay capabilities and purchase cards.
