Clarus Marketing Group launched a subscription program earlier this week, which according to a company release, will lower costs and simplify the online return process.
Called Return Saver, the program lets consumers take advantage of returns delivered by FedEx Ground, which is the exclusive shipping carrier for the Return Saver program. Additionally, customers will receive free shipping on packages of up to 50 pounds and packed in a standard-size box when they return purchases to online retailers in the contiguous United States.
Customers can become members for just $49 per year, according to the released statement.
Clarus Marketing Group CEO Tom Caporaso said in the company release that 95 percent of customers will become repeat customers if they have a positive return experience.
“The question of who pays the shipping costs for online returns has long been a point of contention in the e-commerce space,” Caporaso said. “Beyond that, two-thirds of online shoppers these days check a retailer’s return policy before making a purchase on its website, and four out of five shoppers base their purchase decisions on the ease of making returns.”
