PYMNTS Daily Data Dive: Mobile Surpasses The Desktop

StatCounter Global Stats recently found that, this October, for the first time ever, mobile and tablet access comprised a majority (51.3 percent, to be precise) of internet usage worldwide.

The stats varied considerably country to country. Newer markets saw a much higher rate of mobile and tablet access overall. In India, more than 75 percent of internet access is done on mobile and tablets, while desktop access still dominates at 58 percent in the U.S.
