Top Telehealth Apps That Promise Help When and Where You Need It

Teladoc

The doctor will see you now. Wherever you are. That’s the convenience of telehealth — and this month, we are again ranking apps that can bring this vital service to you.

This latest PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Telemedicine Apps will help you compare service providers and focus on the ones who are in the elite top group. All the contenders that were here last time are here again, but there have been some changes in rankings.

Let’s take a closer look.

The Top Five

Still at the top is MyTeleMed. It seems doctors are satisfied with how this app securely manages important medical messages, because MyTeleMed has held this spot for many months. The vital signs are strong on this one.

Right behind it is Teladoc, also holding the rank it was in last month and remaining securely near the top of the heap.

K Health has the No. 3 spot all to itself, after having to share it last month.

Doctor On Demand is the app that slipped out of that spot, but it didn’t go far. This month, it’s still running strong and ranked fourth.

Also dipping one level is BetterHelp, which was No. 4 last month and is No. 5 this month. It offers web-based, phone and text communication.

The Top 10

There’s been some movement in the second tier this month, too. Let’s check the pulse of this group and see who’s up and who’s down.

In No. 6, there’s MDLIVE. This telemedicine provider app was ranked fifth last time.

LiveHealth Online remains in the seventh spot, where it was in the previous rankings as well. Providing meetings through live video, it seems its reception is good.

It’s sharing that spot now, though, with Vsee Clinic, which moved up one spot compared to last month’s rankings. Providing chat and video calls is moving this app up in the world.

Another contender slid a bit this month, though, and that’s HealthTap—24/7 Telemedicine. This app moved from the No. 6 ranking last time to No. 8.

Maple—24/7 Online Doctors stands firm in the ninth spot. Maple serves a variety of markets, and they’re giving it good marks.

The app in the No. 10 spot was also here last month. That’s InTouch Patient, which rounds out this month’s elite group of telemedicine apps. Stay healthy.
