SWIFT CEO Lazaro Campos To Step Down; Leibbrandt Will Follow

Lázaro Campos, CEO of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) for the past five years and an employee there since 1987, has resigned form his post at the head of the company.

“SWIFT is an extraordinary company with great people and I have enjoyed my years here immensely. I am proud of what SWIFT means to the industry and what we have achieved during my tenure as CEO. Gottfried Leibbrandt, SWIFT’s current head of marketing and an 18-year veteran at McKinsey & Co., will follow Campos as SWIFT’s next chief executive, effective July 1.
