Social media giant Facebook announced the appointment of Gary Briggs as its inaugural chief marketing officer (CMO) on August 5, Bloomberg reported.
The media outlet said Briggs will be responsible for the success of new Facebook products. Briggs has previously worked at some of the tech industry’s biggest names, such as Google and eBay.
“Telling the story of such an important and still very young brand is an incredible opportunity, and I cannot wait to get started,” Briggs told Bloomberg via email.
