Index’s $7M Series A Includes Eric Schmidt

A retail software startup founded by Jonathan Wall and Marc Freed-Finnegan, former Google Wallet executives, has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round that included Innovation Endeavors, the venture capital fund owned by Google’s Eric Schmidt, AllThingsD reported on November 19.

Index aims to provide retailers with detailed shopper information. The company was founded early last year and includes other Google veterans on its engineering team. Khosla Ventures also participated in the Series A round.
