PayPal Launches Passport

PayPal announced PassPort which will create a new information hub for merchants with an eye to expanding their cross border sales. Users will have access thru PassPort to find stats, tips and general information on international sales.

Some of the data available on PassPort is interactive. One example enumerated by TechCrunch is a timeline that charts sales activity over the last year in terms of  what part of the world sees the most sales in any given month. That data will include holidays and other useful information that will help merchants build prioritization plans. The service is not intended to be a comprehensive analytics service, though it will encourage users to interact with data professionals at PayPal to better apply useful analytics to their international sales efforts.
