eBay Announces Three New Executive Level Hires

eBay announced the appointed yesterday (April 13) of three new executives who will join the leadership team of CEO-designee Devin Wenig as the company prepares for the split of eBay and PayPal into separate companies later this year.

Joining eBay are Harry “Hal” Lawton, who will lead eBay North America; Marie Oh Huber as eBay’s General Counsel and Scott Cutler, who will be President of StubHub business. Lawton joins from Home Depot’s executive team, Huber joins from Agilent Technologies and Cutler is a former NYSE executive.

“I am extremely pleased to welcome Hal, Marie and Scott to the eBay leadership team,” Wenig said in a company news release. “Hal is a global commerce expert, Marie is a top public company general counsel, and Scott is an expert in financial services and technology solutions. As we prepare to launch the new eBay, they add strong breadth and depth to my leadership team.”

Following separation, eBay expects to be a company with approximately $9 billion in annual revenues. According to the company, it has 155 million active buyers and 25 million sellers, who offer more than 800 million listings. eBay has also registered an installed mobile base of 305 million apps, which the company says generates $28 billion in mobile commerce volume. Below are some more details on the executives who were hired to help eBay continue its revenue goals as the company heads closer toward separation from PayPal.
