Urban legends are “remarkable” in many senses of the word, sustaining themselves as fact over decades and passed from one person to the next with viral fascination. Urban legends also often make it hard to separate fact from fiction, and often their stories are made more glamourous-sounding over the years, despite the dangers that may lurk beneath.

Payments has its own urban legends, and many of them are more dangerous than fascinating. These urban legends often describe the kinds of dangers hidden in the portfolios of acquirers and financial institutions.

On Wednesday, October 19th at 1:00 PM (EST) join Allison Guidette, CEO of  G2 and Karen Webster, CEO of MPD as they discuss three well-known urban ‘legends’, how these real-life threats have been discovered, and how these urban legends have been extinguished.

    Industry threats include:

    – Anti-consumer and other dishonest activity masquerading as legitimate business

    – Prohibited drug and pharma sales concealed by Transaction Laundering

    – Fraud syndicates and violators that return again and again

Join us for a peek into what to watch for, and tips for keeping these ‘legends’ out of your portfolio.
