Payroll solutions provider ADP is enhancing its Accountant Connect platform to provide accountants with deeper access to more tools and resources.
The company said in a press release on Wednesday (Oct. 3) that it is linking accountants on its Accountant Connect platform with its payment processing platform, as well as tax resources. The updates also provide accountants with the ability to upload and view tax notifications and amendments, the company noted.
The solution integrates with RUN Powered by ADP, as well as ADP Workforce Now, enabling accountants to streamline their processes for business customers.
Accountants will have faster, easier access to key financial data from these platforms, allowing them to run their clients’ payroll, among other functions. The upgrades include push notifications unique to each client, including missed payroll processing or missing employee identification numbers.
Users can gain deeper insights into their clients’ payrolls through payroll analytics and trend management capabilities, while they also have the ability to create multi-client payroll reports. All data can interface to account software general ledgers.
The updates apply to Accountant Connect on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices, ADP added.
Research released in August revealed accountants’ struggle with technology adoption. According to K2E Canada research, more than one-quarter of accountants agree that understanding new technology is a top industry challenge, particularly when it comes to workflow management – this area of the job was cited as one that may see the most disruption from technology.
Earlier this year, ADP announced a collaboration with PayActiv to place the employee financing and financial management solution providers within the ADP Marketplace. The move allows ADP clients to more seamlessly access PayActiv solutions.
Previously, ADP had also announced plans to work with its partner base to develop artificial intelligence solutions designed for payroll and human resource management.
