Roambee, Transporeon Team on Real-Time Visibility

Roambee, a sensor-driven supply chain visibility company, has partnered with Transporeon, a digital freight platform, to boost real-time transport visibility, carrier telematics and multimodal shipping visibility and intelligence, according to a press release.

Transporeon tracks around 20 million transports per year, including food, electronics and other fast-moving goods, alongside slower-moving ones like automotive, chemicals and more, the release stated.

Customers can choose between various levels of visibility for specific shipments, which they are able to access via a portal to integrate capabilities, according to the release.

Roambee CEO Sanjay Sharma said in the release that the partnership “denotes unified access to two major and unique global supply chain visibility platforms for customers across industries.”

“The partnership’s substantial joint data set results in end-to-end, item-level visibility, globally, with 100% coverage of lanes and shipments regardless of the transporter or load size,” he said. per the release.

Transporeon CEO Stephan Sieber added in the release: “Whether a customer wants to track sensitive parcels from India to the U.S. or commodities going through Russia, this partnership can enable them to profit from the insights provided by one joint solution.”

The supply chain has been facing numerous strains as of late, and Transporeon data showed that the cost of shipping went up as much as 10 euros per kilometer in January.
