Terminus Software Gets $50M Debt Facility from CIBC

Account-based marketing, Terminus

The account-based marketing (ABM) platform Terminus Software has received a debt facility of $50 million from CIBC Innovation Banking.

The two entities announced the capital in a news release Monday (Nov. 1), saying Terminus, which is headquartered in Indianapolis and Atlanta, would use this capital for international expansion, product development and merger and acquisition transactions.

This includes Terminus’ recent acquisition of the B2B customer data platform (CPD) Zylotech — their fourth in the last three years — since rechristened “Terminus CDP.”

“The CIBC Innovation Banking team has provided incredible support to our team at Terminus,” said Tim Kopp, Terminus CEO and Chairman. “We’re grateful for their continued backing through our rapid international expansion and product innovation.”

Terminus’ CPD lets customers automatically uncover new communities of buyers. The Zylotech acquisition means Terminus is the only ABM platform with a standalone CDP designed specifically for B2B.

“Terminus has a very strong competitive positioning in the account-based marketing sector,” said Andy Kirk, managing director at CIBC’s Atlanta office. “We are excited to see the company scale and look forward to continuing to support their growth.”

Earlier this year, Terminus raised $90 million in a Series C funding round and grew to employ more than 300 people around the world.
