Visa, Nium, Fuiou Team On Hong Kong, Greater China B2B Payments

Fuiou Pay (Fuiou) rolled out an international corporate payment offering through the help of Visa and Nium. The debut comes as Fuiou and Visa had previously begun working together on corporate payments in Greater China, according to a Monday (July 19) announcement.

“The ability to make and receive simple, fast and secure digital payments, and integrating that to overall business operation, is crucial. Visa is excited to partner with Fuiou and Nium to enable small businesses to bring such comprehensive B2B payment solutions to [small and medium-sized businesses] in [the] Hong Kong region, Greater China and beyond,” Maaike Steinebach, general manager Visa, Hong Kong and Macau, said in the announcement.

Fuiou aims to make international payment offerings for different cross-border use cases through its tie-up with Visa and Nium. As part of those efforts, Fuiou plans to offer card customization. To that end, users will have the ability to tailor their payment cards in terms of customizations like “period of time for actual usage,” according to the announcement.

Fuiou also seeks to provide “multi-format support” with different platforms for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) users. More specifically, Fuiou says that offerings are available for risk management rules and application programming interface (API) connection.

Per the announcement, as part of service support, Fuiou also said that “exclusive communication channels are provided to different customers to ensure their payment issues are addressed in a timely manner.”

“Cross-border payment and FinTech exports have undoubtedly enlarged the reach of our services. We wish to proceed with innovation and cooperation with Visa and Nium in more dimensions and in more countries and regions in the days to come,” Fuiou Payment President Yiqun Zhang said in the announcement.

According to the announcement, Fuiou, Visa and Nium strive to provide businesses in Greater China with enhanced corporate payment experiences.

Nium Co-founder and CEO Prajit Nanu said in the announcement that the collaboration between Visa and Fuiou Pay “is a great example of how three forward-thinking companies can come together to create seamless solutions that empower global businesses.”

In separate news, Airwallex, a FinTech company that concentrates on international commerce, and Visa have introduced the Airwallex Borderless Card for companies in Hong Kong.
