B2B Commerce Firm Kibo Debuts Platform in AWS Marketplace

Composable commerce provider Kibo has announced that its commerce platform is now available in Amazon Web Services’ AWS Marketplace. 

With the products available on this digital catalog of software that runs on AWS, retailers can now deploy them in a matter of minutes, Kibo said Tuesday (Nov. 8) in a press release. 

“Making Kibo’s eCommerce and Order Management products available in AWS Marketplace means less friction and easier implementation for our clients, allowing them to move and scale faster and more efficiently than ever through one of the world’s leading cloud providers,” Kibo Global Director of Partnerships Ava Aprin said.

Kibo’s move to AWS also provides data security, adherence to global data privacy requirements and, for current AWS clients, a way to leverage their existing investments in cloud strategy. 

Kibo touts itself as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) collection of commerce products that are built to meet the needs of B2C, B2B and D2C organizations.

The “composable commerce” approach uses a slew of top vendors that are “composed together” to give retailers and brands a range of prepackaged solutions that allow enterprises to craft their own customer experiences, Julie Mall, vice president of global solutions consulting at Elastic Path, told PYMNTS in a May interview. 

These capabilities are made available through application programming interfaces, giving a plug-and-play aspect to crafting the end-to-end customer experience, Mall said. 

That’s a marked change from just a few years ago. Before the pandemic and the great digital shift, eCommerce was defined as “a rigid approach, defined in terms of how you navigate a catalog and find products,” Mall noted at the time.
