B2B eCommerce platform papmall has upgraded its services to allow businesses to send cross-border payments to freelancers.

“Freelancers may become frustrated and leave the current platform if they experience frequent payment abandonment,” the Los Angeles company said in a news release Friday (Oct. 14).

“papmall tends to address that primary pain point by catching that issue and contributing to the future of the payment industry.”

The updated platform will accept international payments as all major debit and credit cards supported by processors that include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, PayPal eWallet and Diners Club. The platform also accepts crypto payments, the release said.

The company said the upgrades were helped along by partnerships with PayPal, Amazon and Alepay.

Working with PayPal and Amazon Payment allows for global payments as affordable payment options, the release said, along with credit card and other fee-based payment options for the convenience of freelancers and their customers.

“Moreover, Alepay also supports papmall with Cybersource payment solutions, allowing global Visa card transactions in multicurrency, and USD to be accepted,” the release said.

Launched in 2019, papmall originated as a platform for online digital products and software sellers as well as outsourcing services, primarily freelancers and SME (small to medium-sized enterprises) agencies.

In August, the company announced it was expanding its model and delivery locations, in addition to integrating buy now, pay later options and crypto payment features.

The company said at the time it planned to build a “lively and energetic e-commerce atmosphere” and become the leading B2C and B2B eCommerce marketplace platform in the service-providing industry.

Among the company’s visions is the creation of customizable apps that can let sellers and buyers optimize their purchasing experiences.
