MODO, Spreedly Join Forces to Bolster Digital Banking in Argentina

In an effort to help consumers in Argentina connect all of their bank accounts and cards in one location, payments integration platform Spreedly will support digital wallet firm MODO’s more than 35 bank partners across Argentina, the companies announced in a recent press release.

Argentina-based MODO offers money transfers, money requests and QR code payments, as well as the ability to access all accounts and cards in a single app. Spreedly powers the integrations needed for the MODO app, according to the announcement. In addition, Spreedly, which is based in North Carolina, captures and stores payment information securely for its hundreds of customers, with more than $30 billion of yearly transaction volumes.

“At the core of everything we’ve developed was giving our customers the freedom and convenience to make payments simply and easily,” said Rafael Soto, MODO’s CEO. “Using Spreedly, we have been able to extend this simplicity to our own development teams through significantly streamlined integrations with new banking partners.”

In addition to its payments integration platform and secure payments offerings, Spreedly also recently saw a significant uptick in its fraud prevention resources, as PYMNTS reported. In August, the company marked a 300% year-over-year increase in the number of merchants using Spreedly’s resources to avert fraud.

To maintain the pandemic-fueled momentum of online payment increases, this spring Spreedly launched a new suite of professional services to help its partners optimize payment solutions. These services include the ability to quickly import and export existing card data, as well as tools for building and customizing integrations, such as adding new cards, payment service providers and custom gateways. Additional offerings include systems and technology implementations, consultations and training sessions, and workshops aimed at helping clients improve payment strategies.
