Zappos Takes On The Holidays With Price Matching

Zappos Price Matching

With holiday shopping in full swing, online retailer Zappos is automatically adjusting prices to match online competitors in order to draw in shoppers.

The company plans to offer the price matching promotion on select products through Nov. 20, but there’s a chance it could be expanded further.

The “price promise” program launched on Oct. 31 and uses software to match the prices of the site’s most popular products with other qualifying online retailers.

According to Chain Store Age, in order for the price match to take place, the product must be identical and offered at a lower price on a competing site. The merchandise must also be in stock and available in the same style, color and size for it to qualify for the holiday promotion.

Price adjustments will be issued as a coupon code that is valid for 90 days and can only be redeemed for future purchases at Zappos.

“We are constantly trying to up our value propositions and listen to customer feedback and feel Zappos Price Promise will truly help our customers this holiday season,” Joe Grusman, director of marketing acquisition and emerging platforms at Zappos, told Internet Retailer.
