HelloTech Makes DIFM A Reality

Hackers Love IoT

In an age where pretty much anything can be smart or connected, getting each device to turn on and sync up together may not be that easy.

One startup that’s looking to take the pain out of installing and connecting everything is Los Angeles-based HelloTech. Founded three years ago by Apple and Disney veteran Richard Wolpert, HelloTech helps to bridge the gap between device purchase and home installation integration.

While there are various websites and YouTube channels dedicated to teaching people how to DIY (Do It Yourself), HelloTech focuses on a DIFM (Do It For Me) service. Through its platform, HelloTech matches consumers with qualified technicians to bring customer service help to people’s homes. Early sponsors of the company, which include the likes of Samsung, have opted to work with HelloTech to provide service for their products.

With this offering, people now have the opportunity to either learn from these I.T. support technicians during the home device setup process or have things installed for the person with a busy lifestyle.
