Live Nation is making up for lost time – or, rather, lost concerts – by offering fans $20 all-in tickets to nearly 1,000 shows this year, according to a Thursday (July 22) press release. Tickets will be available for a T-Mobile and Sprint presale on July 27 at noon EST/9 a.m. PST and will open to the general public on July 28 at noon EST/9 a.m. PST at LiveNation.com. $20 tickets will be available through Aug. 1 while supplies last, according to the website.
Nearly 1,000 shows will be available as part of the Return to Live effort, including performances from Alanis Morissette, Chicago, Florida Georgia Line, Maroon 5, Jonas Brothers, Kings of Leon, Lil Baby, Pitbull, Trippie Redd and Zac Brown Band, among others.
“We can’t wait to get back on the road and in front of our fans. It means so much to be able to bring live music back to the people that support us the most,” the Jonas Brothers said as part of the announcement.
Live music is one of the last activities to return to normal since the pandemic. According to PYMNTS data, 38 percent of those surveyed said the availability of a COVID-19 vaccine was the single most important condition to be met before resuming normal activities. Statistics show that 57 percent of the U.S. population has received at least one vaccine dose and 49 percent has been fully vaccinated.
With concert venues shuttered during the pandemic, performers had to get creative in finding innovative ways to bring their live music to the masses. Some musicians took to Facebook Live and Zoom to stay connected with fans, while others performed to fully vaccinated crowds as part of COVID-19 relief benefits. As reported previously, Travis Scott performed virtually for 12.3 million fans via Fortnite. The successful first-of-its-kind virtual concert was an anomaly for the video game platform, which went on to offer a three-week concert series last year.
