Angi, Walmart Partner to Offer Christmas Lights Installation

Angi, Walmart Team on Christmas Lights Installation

Home services referral company Angi and Walmart have expanded their partnership to include the installation and removal of Christmas lights.

With this new collaboration, consumers can book professional light installation services from Angi and Walmart for nearly any Christmas lighting purchased from Walmart or already owned by the customer, the companies announced Wednesday (Oct. 26) in a press release.

In addition, the packaging of Christmas lights sold by Walmart will have a new QR code that customers can scan to see their options for ordering installation services, according to the release.

“We are here to take away the stress, hassle and make it easier than ever than ever to book one of the great pros found on Angi to get your job done,” Angi Services Head of Growth Brian Miller said in the release. “And when the holidays are over, pros are ready to help with take down and clean up.”

The services can be purchased for projects of any size, with prices starting at $149. When ordering, customers specify the size of their home and can order removal services as well, the release stated.

“We are excited to offer this convenient service at an incredible value to help our customers decorate their home for the holidays,” Marlena Bond, vice president of seasonal and celebrations at Walmart U.S., said in the release. “More than 90% of our holiday lights packages now come with a QR code, linking customers to Angi’s highly-rated network of installation pros right on the spot — helping customers save both time and money.”

This news follows the Jan. 31 announcement that Angi — which was formerly known as Angie’s List — and Walmart had partnered to enable Walmart customers to book flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, TV mounting and other home services from pros on Angi either online or in stores at Walmart.
