Walmart is updating its online site to make it easier for shoppers to personalize the features they need most, from finding EBT- and SNAP-eligible products to signing up or shopping for gift registries and more.

The retailer has in recent months “made significant improvements to our site experience and launched new features to make shopping on Walmart.com and our app easier, more engaging and more personalized,” Walmart U.S. Executive Vice President and Chief eCommerce Officer Tom Ward wrote in a blog post on Tuesday (Sept. 13).

Upgrades to the registry include “new recommended items, available on the web and coming soon to the registry on our app, which allows customers to start their registry with ease by selecting from a list of the most popular and wanted items on our wedding or baby registries; and Scan to Add, a new feature rolling out to customers soon,” according to the post.

When shopping for grocery items on Walmart.com, customers can filter to see EBT or SNAP-eligible items and then use their EBT or SNAP debit cards to pay at checkout.

Clothes shopping was upgraded with Walmart’s new online styling feature, powered by the visual outfitting and styling solution Stylitics, a tool that enables shoppers to accessorize an outfit to suit a particular style or occasion.

The Choose Your Own Model feature lets a customer choose a model that closely resembles his or her proportions to see what the clothes being considered might look like on themselves.

“The throughline of all these enhancements is taking the guesswork out of online shopping so customers can shop with ease and confidence, empowering them to make decisions that are just right for them. Of course, it remains crucial we continue to nail the fundamentals: great items at great prices and convenient, flexible pickup and delivery options,” Ward said.
