Amazon Gears Up for Prime Big Deal Days in October

Amazon Launches Buy With Prime Tools for Cart, Reviews

Amazon is gearing up for its first Prime Big Deal Days event, which will take place from Oct. 10 to Oct. 11.

The 48-hour event promises discounts on a wide range of products exclusively for Prime members, including fashion, home goods and toys, the company said in a Sunday (Sept. 17) press release.

“We’re giving our Prime members yet another way to save, with deals on some of the most wanted gifts of the season,” Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime, said in the release.

Prime Big Deal Days is a new event that is a sequel to the company’s Prime Day event and gives Prime members exclusive access to “some of Amazon’s best deals of the season,” the company said when announcing the upcoming event in August.

During the company’s Prime Day held in July, Amazon sold over 375 million items worldwide in two days, setting a record and exceeding the previous year’s event by 25%. The retailer reported that Prime members saved more than $2.5 billion on millions of deals offered during the event.

During the October event, deals will drop as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout Prime Big Deal Days, according to the release. In addition, Prime members can explore Amazon’s Holiday Shop for gift inspiration.

To enhance the shopping experience, the event will include several features and benefits, the release said. For example, Prime card members can earn 10% back on select Amazon devices. Customers can also get the new Echo Pop for $4.99 with the purchase of one month of Amazon Music Unlimited. Additionally, Amazon is offering discounts on a range of devices, including eero Pro Mesh WiFi Systems, Echo bundles, Fire TV devices and Kindle eReader bundles.

Influencers like Olivia Culpo and Claudia and Margo Oshry are sharing their top product picks leading up to Prime Big Deal Days, the release said. Customers can tune in to their livestreams on amazon.com/live or download the Amazon Live Shopping app on Fire TV. U.S. customers can also find influencer picks on Inspire, a personalized feed of shoppable videos and photos within the Amazon Shopping app.

To make the most of Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon provides several tips for shoppers in a Sunday blog post. Prime members can sign up for invite-only deals on select products that are expected to sell out. By setting up personalized deal alerts and using Alexa to track and make purchases, shoppers can stay updated.
