Everi Deploys Prove’s Identity Solutions for Casino Transactions

Gaming industry supplier Everi has added Prove Identity’s digital identity verification solutions to further reduce bad actors, fraudulent accounts and user friction from transactions in casinos.

Everi’s Digital CashClub Wallet technology helps casino operators with funding for on-premise gaming devices, payments at point-of-sale (POS) machines and offering customers ways to access funds while on the casino floor, according to a Thursday (Oct. 6) press release.

Now, with Prove’s identity solutions, users of that technology will employ Prove’s Trust Score — a real-time measure of phone number reputation that can be used for identity verification and authentication — during digital onboarding, digital account servicing and ongoing authentication, the release stated.

“Everi is a leading cash access provider in the gaming industry, and Prove and Everi share a vision of more seamless player transactions that occur both digitally and on-premise,” Tom Hill, director of digital identity and head of sports betting and iGaming at Prove, said in the release. “Everi has been at the forefront of the evolution in payments and digital enablement for gaming, and we are thrilled to collaborate with them as Prove continues to accelerate momentum in sports betting and iGaming.”

Like other industries, gaming is seeing on-premise and online options merge and complement one another, Victor Newsom, senior vice president, product management, payment solutions at Everi, said in the release.

“Consumers are embracing and requesting digital services and virtual wallets within the context of their physical experience, and we’re proud to partner with Prove to provide an even more seamless experience across these physical and digital channels driven by consumer choice and value, while also enhancing user safety,” Newsom said.

This news comes about four months after Prove announced that it is partnering with financial firms and mobile carriers in the United Kingdom and using its Trust Score to fight authorized push payment (APP) frauds and scams.

In that case, Prove’s Trust Score aims to help banks better fend off APP attacks by analyzing telecommunications signals and behavior patterns to spot possible fraud-like activity during high-risk transactions.
