dLocal Launches Platform to Help Small Businesses in Emerging Markets

dLocal Go to Help SMBs in Emerging Markets

Payment platform dLocal has launched dLocal Go, an online platform for entrepreneurs, startups and small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to process payments and access other financial services in emerging markets, according to a company press release Thursday (May 5).

dLocal Go is a self-service platform that launches quickly and aids in the processing of local payments in Latin America, Africa and Asia. It was designed to help SMBs improve sales as they expand into new markets without having to be in those countries, the release stated.

With this new product, dLocal now accepts more than 700 payment methods in 35 emerging markets. Through dLocal Go, companies receive payments in local currencies and can convert them into dollars, euros or any other local currency in which dLocal operates, according to the release.

“Entrepreneurs have a vision to start, grow and succeed with their business, and are important engines for prosperity,” said dLocal Senior Vice President of Product Rodrigo Sanchez Prandi in the release. “With dLocal Go, those visionaries will now have the payment and financial technology tools to reach billions of customers in Latin America, Africa and Asia with a simple, easy and fast solution in minutes.”

dLocal Go gives businesses the ability to turn on and off markets based on their sales needs. It also grants access to dLocal’s fraud prevention network to reduce chargebacks. It integrates with Shopify, Shopify Plus and other eCommerce platforms, the release stated.

In February, dLocal expanded its partnership with Latin American company Rappi to allow Rappi customers in Brazil to use the country’s Pix payment system for purchases.
