T3 Tech has launched software that supports the order-to-cash lifecycle of freight transactions.

Designed for small fleets operating 20 or fewer trucks, the new TrueTMS transportation management system features a cloud-native design, user-friendly interface and structured workflows, T3 Tech said in a Monday (April 3) press release.

“Every trucking company starts out small,” TrueTMS Managing Director Jared Akers said in the release. “Our goal in developing TrueTMS is to make room for growth. We do this by removing technology roadblocks and delivering a powerful back office that streamlines and scales fleet operations.”

PYMNTS research has found that connected fleets are becoming the new normal, with 72% of surveyed fleet operators saying that fleet connectivity is either important or very important.

Interest in expanding fleets is still on the rise, and along with it are opportunities for connected vehicle solutions as operators seek to update fleets, according to “Reshaping Global Business with Connected Vehicles,” an edition of the “B2B and Digital Payments Tracker® Series,” which is a PYMNTS and American Express collaboration.

Connected vehicles offer several advantages for fleet operations, with modern technology able to assist with everything from predictive maintenance to driver coaching to detecting when drivers need to take a break, the report found.

In addition, an emerging segment of the FinTech sector has set about tackling the obstacles the trucking business faces when handling expenses for the costs drivers incur on the road.

Several recent innovations in fleet payments and other digitization and automation solutions aim to help fleet managers save time and money, eliminate the hassles of matching up receipts to trips, and using company funds at preferred vendors.

In the case of T3 Tech’s TrueTMS, the software’s core features include load management that helps assign loads, driver dispatch management the helps optimize routes, electronic logging device (ELD) integration that provides real-time status details, and on-demand reporting that aids decision-making, according to the press release.

The software can be accessed from any device and can be integrated with existing software systems to fill any gaps, the release said.

“The cloud-native system is purposefully designed to help fleets improve driver, load and asset management to grow revenue, profitability and accelerate cash flow,” T3 Tech said in the release.
