BlueAlly Expands Portfolio With Acquisition of B2B Technologies

SVB, FedNow Show Need for Payments Infrastructure

BlueAlly Technology Solutions has announced the acquisition of B2B Technologies, bringing together two industry players in the cloud and digital services sector.

BlueAlly is reinventing the value-added reseller (VAR) model, and it said in a Monday (July 10) press release that B2B Technologies’ solutions are expected to strengthen its offering. B2B Technologies specializes in the integration of cloud operations and is a Microsoft Cloud Partner, according to the release.

“The integration of B2B Technologies into the BlueAlly portfolio not only enhances an already strong client service experience but also strengthens existing cloud-based solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Communication, Security, and Application Development,” BlueAlly Chief Technology Officer David Coulter said in the release.

B2B Technologies CEO Frank Fuerst said in the release that his company and BlueAlly have the same vision for the future.

“As a united team, we are now even more capable, efficient and faster,” he said. “We eagerly anticipate being able to provide a much broader set of IT solutions and deliver more value to our clients.”

The cloud and digital services sector has seen an increased demand for IT solutions. There is a common consensus that existing legacy infrastructure is unable to adequately support these needs. As such, migrating to the cloud is a solution for companies looking to gain access to leading-edge technologies.

“When you think about how data analytics workflows are supported, stored and managed in the cloud, the opportunities, particularly in a global economy, cannot be overstated enough,” Dondi Black, executive vice president and chief product officer at TSYS, a Global Payments Company, told PYMNTS in an interview posted in June.

The three principal cloud-computing providersGoogleAmazon and Microsoft, attributed their strong performance to an increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools earlier this year.

Microsoft has been promoting the efficiencies companies can gain by using AI through the cloud. Google has opened access to one of its previously in-house-only AI programs to software developers using its cloud services. Amazon has been telling customers that it provides access to a variety of AI models.
