David VanHoose earned his B.A. in economics at Indiana University and his Ph.D. in economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently the Herman W. Lay Professor of Private Enterprise at the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University. VanHoose has published more than fifty articles in professional economics and finance journals and has authored or co-authored several textbooks. He serves as a co-editor at the North American Journal of Economics and Finance and on the editorial boards of several journals. His book The Industrial Organization of Banking will be published by Springer in December 2009.
