CFPB: 25% Of Disputes Result In Monetary Relief

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has revealed that it is able to secure monetary relief for one out of every four consumers it assists with bank complaints, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on September 18.

The figures are courtesy of a new release by the CFPB that examined how the agency has handled complaints about banks in the 18 months it has been offering the service.

Since March 2012, 5,000 complaints have received payment from banks to settle disputes. The median amount received by claimants was $110.
