San Francisco-based communications platform Twitter announced that it filed an S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering (IPO) on September 12, CNN reported.
Twitter chose to keep the details of the filing confidential. The company was first rumored to be preparing an IPO in July.
