Ingenico Goes All In On ePayments

Payment provider Ingenico Group has a new brand: Ingenico ePayments.

The announcement was made yesterday (Jan. 18) in a press release that describes Ingenico ePayments as the online and mobile commerce offering from Ingenico Group, combining the former Ogone and GlobalCollect organizations and merging their capabilities and offerings.

“I am so pleased to announce the official launch of our new brand, Ingenico ePayments,” stated Philippe Lazare, chairman and CEO of Ingenico Group, in the release. “This brand will undoubtedly solidify our position within the eCommerce industry, taking us a step further towards becoming an omnichannel player and bringing added benefits to our merchants.”

The press release goes on to describe a number of characteristics of the new brand: the enabling of more than 150 different payment methods in over 170 countries; a business intelligence tool, Elevate, that offers merchants advanced data anlytics; and advanced integration and mobile-optimized checkout solutions through Ingenico Connect.
